The City of Mineola will be changing the schedule for monthly brush pick up effective August 1, 2008. The new brush pick up schedule requests residents within the city limits to place all brush at curb side for pickup by the FIRST DAY of each month. Brush placed at the curb after the route has been run will not be picked up until the following month.

CITY OF MINEOLA, TEXAS

ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE

An ordinance of the City of Mineola, Texas providing for the care, control, and regulation of animals including regulating the number of dogs and cats kept upon any private premises within the corporate city limits of the City of Mineola; Providing for definitions; Providing for the vaccination of animals; Providing for the reporting of animal bites and scratches and the quarantine and release of animals for rabies control; Providing for the care, control and registration of dangerous animals; Providing for the adoption of cats and dogs and requirements of sterilization of such animals; and providing for penalties for each violation of such ordinance. Each violation of this ordinance shall be considered an offense of a Class C misdemeanor with maximum fines, currently a maximum of $500.00, as determined by the State of Texas for such an offense or as an offense greater than a Class C misdemeanor as determined and authorized by existing state law.
