The annual window decorating contest judging took place yesterday evening, and we had an esteemed panel of judges: Gwen Winters, Assistant Vice President at Jarvis Christian University; Terry Eaton, Mineola City Council member and Mayor Pro-Tem; and Angela Albers, Wood County District Attorney. The judges were expertly escorted through Mineola by Doris Newman, the City of Mineola’s Main Street Manager and Historical Preservation Officer, to ensure every window was reviewed and no one was overlooked.
The judges certainly had a challenging task, as our merchants did an outstanding job decorating their windows. Their creativity and effort have truly enhanced the beauty and holiday spirit of our historic downtown. A big thank you to all who participated — your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed! Winners will be announced at the Magical Mineola Event!
