Mineola, TX – June 2025
Downtown Mineola was alive with the sound of music every Thursday evening in May as the community came together for the annual Music in May series—and this year was one of the most successful yet!
Held at the downtown gazebo, the series drew enthusiastic crowds week after week, with an average attendance of 160–170 people each night. The final performance on May 29, featuring The Purple Hulls, brought out a record-breaking crowd of 210 attendees.
Concertgoers brought lawn chairs, enjoyed great live performances, and supported local businesses while soaking up the small-town charm and sense of community that defines Mineola. The lineup included fan-favorites like Blue Mudbone, Uptown Beggars, Todd Brewer Band, Venture South, and The Purple Hulls—each delivering memorable performances.
“We’re thrilled with this year’s turnout,” said event organizer Jennifer Henson. “The support from the community, sponsors, and volunteers made it all possible, and the energy each Thursday night was incredible.”
Special thanks go to Spotlight Title Sponsors Beaty Funeral Home, Sammie Carr Realtor, and UT Health East Texas for helping bring this event to life. T-shirts were also available at each show and were a popular way for attendees to show their support.
Plans are already underway to make Music in May 2026 even bigger. Until then, Mineola continues to shine as a place where music, community, and good times come together in perfect harmony.
