The City of Mineola is excited to announce the installation of new ADA-compliant swings at the Mineola Nature Preserve! These accessible swings will provide children of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy the beauty and fun of our Preserve.
While the swings are now in place, they are not yet ready for use—the concrete footings need time to properly cure before we can safely open them to the public. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we ensure the equipment is ready for a smooth and safe experience.
This project was made possible through the dedication of the Mineola Parks Board, with special recognition to Parks Board Chairman Allison Utley for her vision and leadership in bringing this project to life. We are especially grateful to the Mineola Economic Development Corporation for their generous grant funding and for their understanding of the importance of accessibility and inclusion in our community spaces. Their support ensures that the Preserve can be enjoyed by all, creating lasting memories for families for years to come.
We can’t wait to welcome everyone to try them out once they’re ready!
