The City of Mineola is proud to announce NatureFest 2025, a community celebration of the great outdoors, local culture, and family fun. This year’s festival will take place on Friday, October 17, and Saturday, October 18, at the Mineola Nature Preserve. Admission is completely free, and everyone is invited to attend.
NatureFest is one of Mineola’s most anticipated annual events, offering a weekend full of hands-on activities, educational exhibits, and outdoor adventure for all ages. Visitors can explore the Preserve’s natural beauty while enjoying live entertainment, nature programs, and interactive learning experiences.
A few of this year’s lineup include:
The Creature Teacher Show – Two live animal presentations on Saturday at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
Native America Exhibits – Get up close and learn about Native American history from across Texas and beyond.
Arts and Culture Booths – Featuring local artists, craftspeople, and the Mineola League of the Arts.
Native Plant Society Lakes and Pines Chapter – Discover the importance of native flora and conservation.
Tribes of Tejas Monument Dedication – A special ceremony at 2:00 PM on Saturday honoring the rich history and heritage of Native Americans, including the unveiling of a new monument donated by the Tribes of Tejas.
Guided Nature Hikes, Educational Demonstrations, and Family Activities throughout the weekend.
“NatureFest brings together education, history, and outdoor fun in one of the most beautiful settings in East Texas,” said Jennifer Henson, Marketing and Tourism Director for the City of Mineola. “It’s an opportunity for families to connect with nature and our community while celebrating the heritage that makes this area so special.”
