Each December, Mineola transforms into a sparkling celebration of holiday joy, hometown tradition, and community spirit. Magical Mineola is our city’s signature Christmas weekend—three days filled with festive activities, live entertainment, and cherished small-town charm. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning to relive the magic, this special weekend offers something for all ages.
December 5 – Family Fun Night (FREE)
Kick off the celebration with an evening packed with holiday excitement—all free to the public! Enjoy two snow hills, a Christmas maze, live performances, pony rides, live reindeer, the Grinch & Cindy Lou Who, letters to Santa, HAM Radio Operators, a community tree lighting, free hot cocoa, mini-train rides, and so much more. It’s a delightful night designed for families, friends, and anyone ready to embrace the season.
December 6 – Christmas Parade & Mini Train (FREE)
Enjoy another evening of free holiday fun as the Mineola Chamber of Commerce presents its annual Christmas Parade, themed “Home for the Holidays.” The streets light up with floats, music, and festive cheer. Before and after the parade, enjoy rides on the Iron Horse Square Mini Train for an unforgettable holiday memory.
December 7 – Christmas Tour of Homes ($20 Tickets)
Experience the beauty and history of Mineola through the Christmas Tour of Homes, hosted by the Mineola Landmark Commission.
Tickets are $20 each, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Commission and its preservation projects.
Tickets may be purchased in advance at City Hall or from any Landmark Commission Board member.
Day-of tickets will also be available for purchase at any home on the tour.
