Cassandra Sampson Swearing In

The City of Mineola proudly welcomed newly elected and returning members of the City Council during last night’s City Council meeting, as the official swearing-in ceremony was held for representatives of Wards One, Two, and Three.

Representing Ward One, Greg Souser officially took the oath of office and begins his first term serving the citizens of Mineola. Joining him are returning council members Jimmy Alexander of Ward Two and Cassandra Sampson of Ward Three, both of whom were unopposed to continue serving the community.

Family members, friends, city staff, and community supporters gathered to witness the ceremony and celebrate the continued commitment of these local leaders to the future of Mineola.

During the meeting, the City also recognized outgoing Councilwoman Polly Jones for her dedicated service and commitment to the citizens of Mineola throughout her time on the council. City leaders expressed their gratitude for her hard work, leadership, and the positive impact she made on the community during her tenure. Her service and dedication to Mineola are sincerely appreciated.
