✨ Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ✨
Today, we remember and celebrate the life and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose tireless dedication to justice, equality, and love continues to inspire us all. His message of nonviolent resistance and his dream of a world where everyone is judged by the content of their character still resonate today.
Let’s reflect on how far we’ve come, but also on how much work remains to build a more just and inclusive world. May we continue to fight for equality, stand up for what is right, and carry forward Dr. King’s powerful vision of peace and unity.

Mineola and Wood County Law Enforcement will be at Wal-Mart Mineola this evening from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for our annual Blue Santa/Shop With a Cop event.
Blue Santa is a program that provides gifts to children in need during the Christmas season. In Wood County, Texas, Blue Santa has been supported by local law enforcement and community organizations through fundraisers and toy donations.
Join us in our 5th year to raise funds to support the Wood County First Responders Association Wood County Blue Santa program. Since 2019 law enforcement agencies in Wood County have raised money to fund this event that pairs children who are less fortunate with police officers and other first responders as they go on a shopping spree at Walmart. Approximately 200 kids and $75,000 has been raised since its inception. Please consider a cash donation to this awesome program. The Wood County First Responders Association is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.
