Due to recent heavy rains, we are experiencing significant flooding caused by leaves and limbs blocking our storm drains. We need your help to keep our city safe and prevent further damage.
Please remember:
🚫Do not place brush, limbs, and leaves in the street. Instead, pile them separately behind the curb or on the edge of your yard.
🚫Ensure your piles do not restrict or block the flow of water or traffic.
🚫Do not place debris on utility meter boxes.
Consequences of Non-Compliance:
⚠️Blocked storm drains lead to flooding, damaging homes and properties.
⚠️Violations can result in citations and fines up to $2000.
Let's work together to keep Mineola clean and safe! Thank you for your cooperation. 🌳💧🚫
For more details, please refer to our ordinance Sec. 34-21 Brush Limb and Leaf Collection.
