Another amazing Music in May last night. A little rain can't stop Wesley Pruitt from delivering as only he can......and to a full house of music fans! Thank you, Mineola!

MHS Seniors were in for a treat yesterday as the district welcomed Dr. Jim Moody, Class of 1964, to inspire, relate and motivate these young minds. Dr. Moody spent 40 years as a neurosurgeon in the Metroplex and the Moody Brain and Spine Institute at Methodist Hospital in Dallas is named in his honor. Mayor Lankford was present as well to declare May 16th, 2024 as Dr. Jim Moody day in Mineola, TX.
Dr. Mood spoke about his memoir : On Call: A Neurosurgeon's Story of Serving God and Others and each senior received a copy.

Music in May continues on this week as we bring local area favorite Wesley Pruitt!
For 20 years, Wesley Pruitt Band has delivered the ups and downs and the ins and outs of love and life, all neatly wrapped in hard-driving blues-rock rhythms all over the south. Pruitt describes his latest album, Gypsy Soul as “my personal story of eight years told through songs – happiness, triumphs, sadness, heartbreak, depression, darkness, transformation, weeding dead leaves, growing in faith, the law of attraction, affirmation, astrology and all of that.”
As Dr. Terry L. Britt puts it, "Gypsy Soul showcases a significant part of that life and leaves you with the sense that there is much more yet to come."
Wesley's soulful voice and lyrics combined with his complete knowledge of his instrument draws even the casual listener into the experience, whether with his band or just solo.
Show starts at 6:30, and as always, bring your chair and refreshments. Thank you for supporting live music in Mineola

Music in May back on Thursday! Wow! What a great time last week!
This week, we'll welcome singer / songwriters Terry Klein and Stefan Prigmore.
The Austin American-Statesman calls Terry “one of Austin's top singer-songwriters in recent years," and Glide Magazine says that “Klein sings with a trusted gravitas and polished reflection reminiscent of Guy Clark and Steve Earle.”
Stefan Prigmore will come alongside Terry with accolades of his own. Americana Highways said "Perhaps Stefan’s greatest strength is his Prine-like ability to transport the listener to the bottom without transforming himself or the listener into a victim.”
We are very excited to get both of these gentlemen at the same time! Show starts at 6:30 and of course, it is free. Bring your chair and refreshments and maybe dinner to go and meet us at the Gazebo! Thank you for supporting this event.
