The Yoga & Hike event hosted by Emma Brian was a wonderful success!
A big thank you to Emma for her generosity in offering this experience free of charge to our community.
The Mineola Nature Preserve provided the perfect setting for a peaceful and rejuvenating yoga session, followed by a refreshing hike in nature.
Due to the amazing turnout and positive feedback, Emma has graciously decided to host another session on Sunday, May 18th at 1:00 p.m.
We hope to see you all there againโbring a friend and enjoy the experience together!

A Little Late, But Never Less Important!
We celebrated the birthdays of Lisa Morrison and Justin Clower for our March birthday crew! Honestly, I still donโt know where that month went! We hope you both had fantastic birthdays, and we are so grateful to have you as part of the team here at City Hall!

Due to a software transition, our online payment portal will be unavailable today and tomorrow. We are unable to process credit card payments at City Hall during this time. However, we can still accept cash and check payments.
Please be patient with us as we will be using handwritten receipts, which may take a little extra time when processing your payment. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work through these necessary steps in the transition to our new software system.

Join Us for the Pier Dedication at Mineola Nature Preserve!
We invite you to the dedication ceremony for Bo's Pier at the Mineola Nature Preserve on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
This pier is being named in honor of former Mineola Mayor, E.F. "Bo" Whitus, whose dedication and hard work transformed the bare river bottom into a beautiful space for all of us to enjoy.
Everyone is welcome to attend the dedication ceremony. Afterward, the family will be serving lunch at the Derby Pavilion to celebrate this special occasion.
We look forward to seeing you there!

The City of Mineola will be transitioning to a new payment portal for utility bill payments on April 28, 2025. Please note that the current portal will be completely unavailable on April 8th and 9th as part of the software transition process.
In an effort to minimize surprises, we wanted to give you advance notice of this change. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support as we make this transition to new software.
During the time of transition, if you come in or use the drive-through, please be aware that handwritten receipts will be used, which may take a bit more time. We appreciate your patience as we work through this process.
As part of the transition, your water bill account number will be slightly changing. We believe this new portal will significantly enhance your experience, providing better tools to manage your utility billing services efficiently. Payment options will include paying online, by text, by phone, and autopay!

> NO HORSES ON RAIL BEDS.
> Proof of Negative Coggins will be requested as is required by Texas law.
> Trails are open subject to conditions. Call 903-569-6183 to confirm.
> For the safety of all, observe and abide by all signage and directions.
> If trails are closed due to weather or maintenance, please honor temporary signs.
> Horses and riders must remain within designated areas while loading and unloading.
> Stay on designated trails. Do not create new trails or diversions.
> DO NOT ride on trails restricted to walking, such as railroad bed.
> Horses must not be tethered to trees, shrubs, or other than designated park structures.
> Please leave the Preserve better than you found it. Use litter barrels. Or pack it in and pack it out.
> DOGS must be on leash.
Failure to observe these guidelines will be cause for removal from the Preserve and a possible fine.

Select Theater Celebrates in Style with Music, Cars, and Cake!
Mineola, Texas โ The Select Theater hosted a remarkable celebration on Saturday, March 15th, marking another milestone in its storied history as the longest continuously running theater in Texas. The event was a true testament to the theaterโs role in the heart of the community, offering a night filled with music, nostalgia, and celebration.
The evening kicked off with a lively performance by the Mineola High School Band, setting the tone for a festive atmosphere. Outside the theater, a stunning array of classic cars was on display, delighting both car enthusiasts and visitors alike with their vintage beauty.
Inside, attendees were treated to free popcorn and a small drink, adding to the charm of the evening. In addition to the tasty treats, a selection of delicious birthday cakes was available, ensuring that guests had a sweet experience to match the occasion.
Every 15 minutes, the theater offered guided tours, providing an in-depth look at the history of this beloved establishment. Attendees were captivated as they learned about the rich legacy of the theater, which has remained a cultural cornerstone for decades.
The eveningโs movie presentation featured "Pride of Mineola," a local favorite, followed by the heartwarming film "I'll Be Right Here." Both films added a perfect touch to the celebration, making it a memorable night for all who attended.
The event not only celebrated the theater's legacy but also emphasized the importance of keeping it running for future generations. If you'd like to contribute to the preservation of this historical gem, donations are welcomed by calling the theater directly at 903-569-2300.
