Press Release Wood County (4-28-2020) Judge Hebron: Adopting GA-18 Re-Opening Texas

On April 28, 2020,  Wood County Judge Lucy Hebron issued the “Second Amended  Order of Declaration of Local Disaster due to Public Health Emergency for Wood County, Texas” (“Second Amended Order”). The Second Amended Order states that the “Amended Order of Declaration of Local Disaster Due to Public Health Emergency for Wood County, Texas”, (the "stay at home order" which was dated  April 1,  2020, expires  as of 12:01 a.m. on Friday, May 1,  2020.  At  that  time, Governor Abbott’s Executive Orders, including Executive Order No. GA-18, are hereby adopted by Wood County.  This will include future Executive Orders issued by the governor that relate to the COVID-19 disaster, unless the Second Amended Order is modified, amended, rescinded, or superseded by Judge Hebron.  The Second Amended Order will remain in effect based upon the effective dates stated by Governor Abbott in his Executive Orders, unless ordered otherwise by Judge Hebron.  Governor's Executive Order GA-18 can be accessed using the links at the bottom of this page.
