Mineola Marching Band Brings Home State Title

Mineola, TX – Mineola Texas High School Marching Band brought home the gold Wednesday night in San Antonio when they won University Interscholastic League Conference 3-A Marching Band Championship for the second time in a row.  The returning 2017 Champs, known as “The Sound of the Swarm”, scored a perfect “five” in both preliminary and final completion to run away with the state title for 2019.   

The Texas UIL 3A Champions will be returning to Mineola tonight about 8:00 PM. They will reverse the route that they took when they left for San Antonio. Buses will enter town on West US 80 to Pacific Street (US 69), then north on Pacific to Highway 37, taking 37 to Loop 564, then south to the school parking lot. Everyone, please come out tonight to welcome the Champions home!
