Sesquicentennial Beard Contest

Do you have what it takes to be the BEARD MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE? Well, you can find out during the City of Mineola's Spring Fling event on May 20th, celebrating Mineola's 150th year. We will have several other competitions going that day, with live musical entertainment, food trucks, and a beer tent. Sign-ups are at 11:00am, and will cost $5 to enter. At sign-up, you can purchase "beard insurance" for an additional $5, as losers will have their beards shaved after the winners are announced. If you wait until after judging, you can still save your beard for $15, unless you want to face the razor.

There will be winners in 4 categories: Longest Beard, Thickest Beard, Most Artistic Beard, and People's Choice. Each of these categories will receive a prize package donated by CowBurners BBQ, and a BEARD MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE will be selected from among the winners of the 4 categories. In addition to the category prize package, the BEARD MASTER will receive a custom mug commemorating their prowess, and be entitled to one free beer per week from CowBurners. YUH!
